Editor and tools
Did upload latest version of our editor and some tools, including plugins for 3ds max 2009.

http://haggardgames.com/dload/AG_Tools.rar

Just unpack it and run it Smile

1. The first time you start editor, there will be some errors about missing paths.
2. Goto File\Properties\Directories. You will have to setup path to the game and Game profile (if its missing).
For the steam version:

Game -> C:\Program Files (X86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Alekhine's Gun\
Don't forget to place the last slash '\'

GameProfiles -> My Games\AlekhinesGun
Shaders - UseCache must be checked to speed up load.
3. Push Ok. Restart Editor.
4. No erros must show up if you did it right with folders.
5. You can load now some levels from the Levels folder of this package.

Some basic camera controls in editor:

1. Hold right mouse - rotates camera
2. Hold middle (Wheel) mouse - move camera left/right/up/down
3. Mouse wheel - move camera front/backward
4. You can also use WASD, but have to set camera speed. Hold shift to move faster.
5. If you select any object and hold Alt during camera rotation, it will rotate around the object.
6. Ctrl+Enter - will zoom on selected object

Tools folder - contains shadvs editor and plugins to export models from 3dsmax to the game.

I will soon setup some wiki engine on this site to create documentation/tutorials.

RE: Editor and tools
Thanks to the shadvs editor and some traditional hex editing of the SWD, I have finally implemented a nude Gusanos actor into Black Book.Big Grin

RE: Editor and tools
I just installed a free trial of 3DSMax 2017. Should I use that for editing AG models? I don't want to set up an account at AutoDesk for nothing.

Also adolf, the shadvs files from MoT can be viewed with the shadvs program. I don't know about the editor proper being compatible with MoT, though.

RE: Editor and tools
Plugins won't work with 2017 version. Only with 2009-2010 max. Maybe later i will try to rebuild them for newer version.
Did you tried editor already?

Yes. How do you modify a level's SWD with it?

You can't directly modify swd. It's exported from the editor. There is folder Levels in the package. You have to load one of them with the editor, do modifcations and export to the game. Ctrl+G or Export to Game option in the menu.

Okay... I noticed you have placed some Strogov clones in the Snake Born example (where the special interactions are). Will they appear in-game if I export that version into the game?

No. They are just for reference. They are added to the specific layer (Tab four on the right) that have 'No export' setting set.
